FAQ

Rebate questions

Not covered here? Call 613-315-7325 and ask a technician.

Can I get a rebate on a new gas furnace?

Generally not through the programs above. Current Ontario incentives focus on heat pumps, insulation and other upgrades that cut energy use. The Better Homes Ottawa loan also excludes gas furnaces. A hybrid setup, with a heat pump doing most of the heating and a gas furnace as backup, can still qualify for the heat pump portion.

Do I need to apply before the work is done?

For Home Renovation Savings heat pump rebates, yes: the heat pump has to be pre-approved before it's installed. Other programs have their own steps, so check the official page before you book the install.

Can I combine programs?

Often you can pair a rebate with financing, for example a Home Renovation Savings heat pump rebate with a Better Homes Ottawa loan. Each program sets its own rules, so confirm on the official pages.

Will you help with the paperwork?

We'll give you the equipment details and documents a program asks for, and walk you through what's needed during your estimate.
